Jin became the first member to be discharged from mandatory military service on Jee 12 morning (KST), completing his military service as an active-duty soldier at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. Jin became the first member to enlist in December 2022.

His fellow BTS members reportedly took time off to welcome Jin as he was discharged. The members happily embraced each other as they reunited after a while. Leader RM even went viral for his saxophone skills as he played “Dynamite.”

Suga, who is currently a social service worker, was notably the only BTS member not present at the reunion. It was reported that he would join his members at the HYBE building.

Initially, ARMYs lamented not seeing Suga with the rest of the BTS members. Many had hoped he’d join then.

sometimes i hate that i love a man with such strong principles. min yoongi, i miss you😭

ARMYs joked that Suga was a “man of his word” and “keeping his promise,” as he previously told the fandom that he would see them in 2025 when all the members would be discharged. ARMYs haven’t seen him since his enlistment, so they really believed they might not see him until his discharge.

3 universal truths today:

1. Seokjin is hotter than the sun
2. No one loves BTS like BTS
3. Yoongi is a man of his word

he’s a man of his words.. you gotta respect that pic.twitter.com/zdblG6LxgA

Yoongi said “see you in 2025” it’s bcz we’re going to see each other at that time, Yoongi is a man of his word so respect whether or not he wants to show up.pic.twitter.com/1KGcRmMZqr

Some ARMYs went so far as to edit Suga into pictures with the others or tease each other that he was in one of the black vehicles on site for the BTS members.

Yet, Suga didn’t keep his promise after all.

As expected, Suga was at the HYBE building, where he reunited with his members. The members couldn’t get together without a group photo, which they uploaded via their shared X (formerly Twitter) account.

ARMYs rejoiced as we finally got an OT7 photo. They counted the seven heads excitedly.

there is no better feeling in this world than seeing a bts photo and counting seven heads.

We certainly don’t mind that Suga low-key “broke his promise” and visited us early.
