BTS’s Jungkook once again had his vocal abilities recognized through the words of a world-renowned producer. Diplo — a Grammy-winning producer and member of the EDM group Major Lazer — mentioned BTS’s comeback album “ARIRANG” in an interview with American entertainment outlet TMZ and singled out Jungkook for special praise.
Diplo on working with BTS on their album ‘ARIRANG’:
“They’re so hands-on. They’re so creative, I can’t believe it. Jungkook? No autotune, perfect voice. They’re funny as hell, they rap, they do everything. They’re like the real deal.” pic.twitter.com/Hm5EOWc186

Diplo said, “Jungkook? He doesn’t need auto-tune. He has a perfect voice.” The comment is drawing even more attention given that Diplo has worked with global pop stars such as Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Madonna, and Dua Lipa.
The remark quickly spread across social media platform X. Major international outlets and entertainment accounts, including MSN and People in the U.S., World Music Awards (often referred to as Europe’s Billboard), as well as Pop Base, Pop Core, and Spin Or Bin Music, highlighted the statement.
Billboard columnist Jeff Benjamin also shared on his X account, “While talking about working on BTS’s ‘ARIRANG’ album, Diplo especially praised Jungkook’s vocals, calling him a ‘perfect singer’ and saying he doesn’t need auto-tune at all,” further amplifying the buzz.
Global fans responded enthusiastically. On X, comments such as “Jungkook proves himself through results as a vocalist,” “A truly talented artist,” “Jungkook golden voice,” “Everyone he works with praises him,” and “Perfect without a doubt” flooded the platform.
This is not the first time Jungkook has received praise from international musicians. Charlie Puth, who collaborated with him on “Left and Right,” said in an interview, “His vocals were astonishingly perfect. I was truly impressed and deeply moved.”
Coldplay’s vocalist Chris Martin also reportedly said during a recording session, “It’s excellent. Please tell JK he’s amazing,” after hearing Jungkook’s part.
Jenna Andrews, a songwriter for “Butter,” commented, “It’s incredible. His voice is insane. Outstanding.” DJ Swivel, producer of Jungkook’s solo track “Euphoria” and a Grammy Award winner for Best Dance Recording, said, “He has unbelievably great vocal skills even without any instruments or effects. His solid ability and voice created ‘Euphoria.’”
After Jungkook performed “Soda Pop,” an OST from KPop Demon Hunters, during a live broadcast, Andrew Choi — who voiced the character Jinwoo, leader of the Lion Boys — told Singapore’s The Straits Times, “Jungkook sings so naturally well. It’s proof that he’s a true vocalist. His performance is 11 out of 10.”
Lee Jae, composer and singer of “Golden,” another OST from KPop Demon Hunters, also mentioned Jungkook as a K-pop artist he would like to produce, saying, “I’d love to collaborate with Jungkook. I want to write a melody for him.”
Meanwhile, Jungkook continues to solidify his presence in the global music market, having surpassed 20 billion on-demand audio streams — becoming the first K-pop solo artist and the fastest Asian artist to reach the milestone.
