The discharge date for BTS’s J-Hope has been announced.
According to the latest announcement, J-Hope’s official discharge date is October 17. Big Hit Music announced on October 14 that “J-Hope is nearing the end of his active-duty service and will soon be discharged.”
The label continued, “As the discharge date coincides with the return of many soldiers, there will be no special event on this day. To prevent safety accidents due to crowding, we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site.”
Meanwhile, J-Hope enlisted in the military last April, becoming the second BTS member to do so after Jin. He served as an instructor at the 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Wonju, Gangwon Province.
A month before his discharge, J-Hope shared his thoughts on Weverse, saying, “Looking back on my military service, I feel proud and confident. Although it felt like the time passed slowly, I’ve grown fond and sentimental.”
