A young woman shared how Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, inspired her.
Channel A aired an episode of the show “Now On My Way to Meet You,” which featured North Korean defectors who now live in South Korea. The show discussed key changes in North Korea and how the Hallyu (Korean Wave) encourages the MZ generation of North Koreans to defect.
One of the North Korean defectors, Seo Hyun-kyung, shared how she got interested in K-pop and how seeing Taehyung in ‘Fire’ for the first time opened up a new world to her.
Seo Hyun-kyung complimented Taehyung and said,“When I lived in North Korea, BTS’ ‘Fire’ came out. You know Kim Taehyung, V, right? Wow, it was a NEW world as soon as I saw him. It was a new world for me…His face was just heavenly. Can I say this? He was like an angel.”
