BTS has been nominated in three major categories at the American Music Awards, reaffirming its global influence in the music industry.
According to the AMA official website on April 14, BTS secured nominations for Artist of the Year, Best Male K-pop Artist, and Song of the Summer. Their title track “SWIM” was nominated in the Song of the Summer category.
In the highly competitive Artist of the Year category, BTS will compete against global stars such as Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, and Taylor Swift, highlighting the growing presence of K-pop artists on the global stage.


Other K-pop acts also earned nominations. In the Best Male K-pop Artist category, BTS is joined by ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, Stray Kids, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.
For Best Female K-pop Artist, nominees include aespa, BLACKPINK, ILLIT, LE SSERAFIM, and TWICE.
Global collaborations also stood out. Jennie’s remix of “Dracula” with Tame Impala was nominated for Song of the Summer. Meanwhile, girl group KATSEYE received three nominations, including New Artist of the Year and Best Music Video.
In addition, the K-Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack was nominated for Best Soundtrack, while the song “Golden” by the fictional group Huntrix earned a nod for Best Pop Song.
The nominations reflect not only the achievements of individual artists but also the expanding influence of K-pop across the global music market.
The American Music Awards will be held on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
